Here’s the low down on the “Eat by"" dates printed on each meal label. The date listed there is three days after the delivery date, by which time we recommend you either gobble or freeze your meal. So you should eat Monday delivery meals by Thursday end of day… Thursday delivery meals by Sunday end of day.
Our meals are meant to be eaten fresh and taste best that way for sure. So we always recommend that route. But you can freeze ‘em if you want. A few notes if you do:
- It’s a good idea to remove any fresh fruits or raw veggies before freezing
- We don't recommend freezing salad type items
- For everything else, if you wrap in cellophane or place in an airtight container, they should last up to 8 weeks without significant loss of flavor or texture once defrosted
- We recommend eating within 2 weeks of freezing for best results
